Shelter Church is a ministry based in Mankato, MN. We believe that true community starts with a shared table. We provide free, delicious meals to all who need to eat, while offering a space to connect with a caring community and hear some good news in the midst of whatever life brings. We are dedicated to ensuring that no one goes hungry while we journey together in faith.
At Shelter Church, we meet you where you are with no expectations and no strings. Whether you are here once or every week... Whether you're just here for the meal, or church, or both... you are welcome here.

You can find us on Sunday evenings in the basement fellowship hall at Grace Lutheran Church (110 N 4th St)
Enter through the West door at the back of the building, in the alley. The space is wheelchair accessible.
Whether you just want to come for a meal or stay for the service, you are welcome here.
Free Meal at 4:30pm
Meals are prepared by local churches and other ministry partners, with generous servings and leftovers in to-go boxes whenever possible. Doors open at 4pm.
Service Times
Worship at 5pm
Services after the meal are short and relaxed, with the reading of Scripture, an opportunity to share prayers as a community, a short sermon/reflection, and Holy Communion.
